WA: Search for missing man called off
An intensive search for an elderly man missing after his catamaran capsized off WesternAustralia's Pilbara coast has been called off.
Police believe there's no hope of finding 66-year-old ROY FENTON alive after he wasthrown into the water along with his wife and a friend when their boat capsized whileon a fishing trip.
His wife was found clinging to the vessel on Sunday, and the friend was plucked fromthe sea a short distance away.
A police spokesman says the decision has been taken not to renew the search.
Five aircraft and eight boats searched a 500 square nautical mile area on Monday, andthe area was searched again yesterday.
